MOM Prepares and delivers nutrition-packed hot dinners and bag lunches daily to people battling life-threatening illnesses and
to their loves ones. We understand that the diagnosis of a life-threatening illness, like breast cancer of AIDS, and ensuing treatments often trigger unexpected turmoil. It is our intention to bring a sense of “normalcy” back into life, something a client can count on. We deliver anywhere in Marin County; from Sausalito to Novato and from Bolinas to San Rafael. Our services are free of charge for those who qualify.
MOM is determined to meet the nutritional needs of people living with AIDS/HIV, breast cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses as they go through often rigorous courses of treatment. Many of our clients have special dietary needs and restrictions. In addition to the regular dinners and lunches we offer vegetarian as well as vegan meals. We also prepare customized meals for clients who have special dietary needs and restrictions.
Dinners
- a hot entrée with a rich source of protein such as chicken, meat, tofu, or legumes
- fresh, seasonal vegetables
- carbohydrates such as rice, potatoes or pasta
- an organic mixed or green salad with freshly prepared dressing on the side
- fresh fruit
- dessert and/or artisan bread
Lunches
- a wholesome soup, hearty sandwich, or a luncheon salad with protein, or a light entrée such as macaroni and cheese, or a tasty burrito
- fresh, seasonal fruit
- a snack or artisan bread
